Editorial Policy
Standards for sourcing, specification analysis, and error correction.
Specification Research Standards
Our editorial work relies strictly on verifiable published documentation. When assessing coffee hardware, our standard procedure requires:
- Cross-referencing manufacturer technical data sheets, mechanical diagrams, and merchant listing descriptions.
- Recording precise declared units (e.g., millimeters, burr steel grades, grams, degrees Celsius) rather than subjective performance claims.
- Verifying seller-declared food-grade metal alloys and silicone temperature ratings against public documentation.
- Documenting standard retail replacement filter sizes to prevent lock-in to proprietary consumable formats.
Separation of Fact and Interpretation
We maintain a strict separation between published manufacturer claims and our editorial interpretation of practical kitchen usability. Published specifications are cited as declared by the brand; editorial evaluations evaluate how those stated numbers translate into cleaning routines, thermal balance, and mechanical durability.
Corrections Policy
When manufacturer specifications change, listing errors are identified, or technical descriptions are found to be inaccurate, we revise the relevant page promptly. A visible correction notice is appended documenting the updated data point and the modification date.
